Yokohama International Swimming Pool, which was built when Yokohama city declared bid as the Olympic host, has an internationally recognized main pool, a diving pool and domestically recognized substitute pool横浜がオリンピック開催都市に名乗りをあげた時期に計画・建設された「横浜国際プール」。国際公認のメインプールとダイビングプール、国内公認のサブプール（通年利用）を備えており、夏期はプールとして利用され、冬期はスポーツフロアとしてテニスコートやフットサルコートに早変わりする。
１階には50m x 10コースが整備されたメインプールと水深５mのダイビングプール（写真）がある。国際的な競泳大会「パンパシフィック水泳選手権」やシンクロナイズドスイミングのワールドカップ大会会場になったことで有名だ。２階には通年利用できる50m x 8コースのサブプールがある。
プールの他にも館内にはトレーニングルーム、サブアリーナ、館外にはテニスやフットサルに利用できる多目的コートがある。またレストラン、軽食コーナーも営業している。運動した後は「はりきゅうマッサージ室」、「ボディケアサロン」で運動の疲れを癒していくのもおすすめだ。
また横浜国際プールはさまざまなイベントを開催している。月に１～２回開催されるフリーマーケットは、多い時で100店舗が出店し、来場者が1000人に上ることも。また毎年９月に開催される「竹灯籠まつり」では敷地内の竹林に3000基の竹灯籠が灯され、秋の夜長を幻想的な空間に一変させる。こちらも毎年1000人以上が来場する人気イベントだ。

Text: Saori Hashiguchi, which are utilized as pools throughout the summer, but are transformed into either a tennis court or futsal court during the winter.
The main pool is 50 meters in length and 10 lanes wide with a diving pool which is 5 meters in depth located on the first floor. The complex is famous for hosting international swimming competitions such as the Pan Pacific Swimming Championship and Synchronized Swimming World Cup competitions. There is a substitute pool which is 50 meters in length and 8 lanes wide located on the second floor.
Also, a training room, a substitute arena and a multipurpose court used for playing tennis or futsal are located inside the building. We recommend recovering from fatigue at the Acupuncture Massage Room or the Body Care Salon after exercising as well as at the restaurant and snack bar.
The complex hosts various events like a monthly flea market, which opens 100 stalls and attracts many visitors reaching 1000 at peak hours. Also, another popular event is the Bamboo Lantern Festival where 3000 bamboo lanterns are turned on to bamboo groves on the premises which creates a dreamy atmosphere on long autumn nights with over 1000 visitors every September.
