In celebration of the 150th anniversary of the opening of Yokohama seaport, Yokohama Marine Tower was newly reopened in 2009 with a stylish exterior finish, offering various facilities2009年、横浜開港150年を記念して、スタイリッシュな外観に生まれ変わった横浜マリンタワー。展望台の他、ショップやレストラン、バーなどを備え、家族連れからカップルまで多くの人が楽しめるスポットだ依照全新的構想、以提供全新的享樂、全新的舒適服務為主旨，橫濱海洋塔 於2009年5月23日全新隆重開幕。瞭望視野具佳之外、有碧綠蒼翠的庭園及開放式之咖啡廳&餐廳。また2010年には「恋人の聖地」に正式に認定され、新たなデートスポット、ウェディング場としても注目を集めている。
マリンタワーは全長106メートル、展望階の高さは94メートル。もともとタワーの頭頂部は灯台として機能しており、実際、最も高い灯台としてギネスブックにも登録されていた。東京タワーなどに比べると決して高いタワーとは言えないが、横浜の景色を一望でき、夜は横浜港やベイブリッジ、京浜工業地帯の夜景が楽しめる。また夏には花火鑑賞の絶好のスポットにもなり、冬は富士山がはっきりと見え、初日の出を目にしようと多くの人が集まる。
タワー１階ではカジュアルなイタリアン・カフェ＆ダイニング「THE BUND」と水町通り沿いの落ち着いた雰囲気のバー「mizumachi bar」が営業している。また２階まで吹き抜けのホールでは、山下清画伯の描いた横浜の壁画が鑑賞できる。２階ではクレイジーケンバンドとマリンタワーのコラボグッズなど、オリジナルグッズを販売。３階はウェディング・各種コンベンションホール。４階は港の風景を望むコンチネンタル・レストランとなっている。
展望台からの眺めは、天気や時刻によって同じ景色でも見える風景や雰囲気がガラリと変わる。晴れた日にはきれいなマリンタワーの形をした影が出現し、日時計にもなるという。横浜観光でどこへ行くか迷ったら、１度ここから観光スポットを一望してみるのもおすすめだ。

The tower stands 106-meters in total height and the observatory floor of the Marine Tower is located 94-meters from the ground level. Originally the top part of the tower functioned as a lighthouse and was once listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the highest lighthouse. From the observatory, you can enjoy the panoramic view of Yokohama city and night views of Yokohama seaport, Bay Bridge and the Keihin Industrial region.
On the ground floor there is a casual Italian restaurant “THE BUND” and bar called “Mizumachi bar” located along Mizumachi Street. In the open space you can enjoy a wall drawing of Yokohama city made by Kiyoshi Yamashita. The 4th floor is a continental restaurant, which offers a view of the port.
