Ann Ringstrand and Stefan Söderberg met at H&M buying office. Together found Swedish fashion brand Hope. Ann is educated at top design schools in Copenhagenアン・リングストランドとステファン・ソーデルバーグは「H＆M」のバイヤーオフィスで出会い、スウェーデンのファッションブランド「ホープ」を設立。アンはコペンハーゲンのトップデザインスクールやスウェーデンの服飾学校の出身。彼女はCEOと婦人服のクリエイティブディレクターを兼務する。一方、ステファンは紳士服のクリエイティブディレクターを務めている。彼は80年代に衣料品店でキャリアをスタートさせ、後にバイヤーや商品開発部門に携わり、「スウェディッシュ・デザイナー・オブ・イヤー」を始め数々の受賞歴を持つ。
プロダクトデザインや生地を熟知し、品質を第一に考える彼らの姿勢で、今ホープはスウェーデンファッション界の雄として世界の注目を集めている。
ご自身のブランドを立ち上げるきっかけは？
素敵で興奮させる個人的な概念をかたちにしたいという情熱。
アンとステファンとの繋がりはどこにあったのですか？
H＆Mのバイヤー部門で働いて以来の友人です。
サーミはスウェーデン古来からの先住民です。どのような価値を見出していますか？
手工芸の伝統、それから、しろめ（スズと鉛などの合金）のブレスレット等に見受けられる民族特有の影響を大変気に入っています。
最近、ストックホルム中心部の素敵な界隈、ヴァーサスタンに新たな直営店をオープンされましたね。
このストックホルムの街は首都としての発展を続ける中で、人々は夜や週末もここで過ごすようになり、近場での食事や買い物を楽しんでいると感じています。また、ヴァーサスタンは私たちの顧客もたくさん住んでいる地域なので、この場所うぃ選んだのは必然的でもありました。
ここで街を楽しむ秘訣を教えて下さい！お気に入りのスポットは？
本屋さんの「コンスティグ」。 時々店に立ち寄ってみて、手入れが行き届いて質の高いコンセプトを持ちながら楽しさに溢れた雰囲気を感じる場所。ストックホルムのアルティレリガタン沿いにあるキャンディーショップ「パーラン」はまさにそんな感じ！手作りであるってことも書き漏らしてはいけないね、ほら、人生って最高。
メイキャップには「カウ」。フードコートだったら「カイサ・ヴァリ」がおすすめ。

Translation: Yoshitaka Futakawa and the School of Textile in Sweden. She is the CEO and Creative Director for the Women´s Collection. Stefan is the Creative Director for the men´s Collection. He started his career in the 80´s in a clothing store which later brought him into the buying and product- developing department. Among other awards the won “Swedish Designer of the Year”.
Due to their way of thinking, who truly knows about product design and textiles, plus when quality comes first, now Hope spotlights the Swedish fashion profile worldwide.
What took you to start up your own brand?
The passion to create a nice, ecstatic and personal concept.
What was the link between both Anna and Stefan by then?
We where friends from working in H&M buying office.
Samis are the natives, indigenous people from Sweden. Which are the values for you about them?
We love the handcraft tradition and the ethnic influence that you see in details such as pewter bracelets.
You just opened a new flagship store in Vasastan, a nice neighbourhood in central Stockholm.
We believe that because Stockholm is growing as a capital city people tend to stay in their hood during nights and weekend and like to eat and shop near by. Also Vasatan is a typical area where a lot of our customer live so it was quite easy to believe in this particular location.
Please tell us some tips! A few spots you like in town.
The book store Konstig. Sometime when I walk into a shop I get that joyful feeling, finding care and quality in the concept. Candy shop Pärlan on Artillerigatan in Stockholm is just that! You can also add handmade in the description and voila, – Life is good.
