ビクトリア劇場Victoria Theatre
シンガポールの劇場の中でも長い歴史を持つビクトリア劇場は長い間シンガポール国内の芸術及び文化的活動の中心地となり、様々な国内外の催し物が行われてきた。建物は19世紀イギリスの新古典主義建築であり、904席ある観客席The grand old dame of Singapore theatres, the Victoria Theatre has long been a focal point for Singapore’s arts and cultural activities. This 19th century British neo-classical architecture housesや、ミュージシャンが30人まで入ることが出来るオーケストラ席を有する。ダンスや演劇、クラシックバレエ、現代バレエ、歌劇その他様々なイベントに理想的な場となっており、これら様々な目的に対応できるような舞台照明や音響設備が完備されている。また、それぞれ20人から150人までが立って使えるカフェテリアや２つの大広間も設置されている。

Translation: Yuki Mine an auditorium with a seating capacity of 904. The theatre also has an orchestra pit that can accommodate up to 30 musicians. It is ideal for performances of dance, drama, classical and modern ballet, opera as well as other events. It has sufficient stage lighting and sound equipment to undertake various kinds of performances, and support facilities include a cafeteria and 2 function rooms that can take up to 20 and 150 standing guests respectively.
Victoria Theatre has been the venue for many local and foreign shows. They included ACTION Theatre’s Chang & Eng , Asian premiere of David Hwang’s Golden Child , rock musical Rent by the Singapore Repertory Theatre and many others.
