白金の青い池Shirogane Blue Lake

北海道美瑛町の温泉地・白金の山中にひっそりと佇む、コバルトブルーに美しく光る池がある。「白金の青い池」として知られるこの池は、美瑛川と白金温泉の河岸工事の副産物として生まれた人口池Shirogane; in hot spring field of Biei, there is a beautiful shining cobalt blue lake. This lake is known as “Shirogane Blue Lake” and this lake was born in construction of Biei river and Shirogane hot spring. Groundwater in Tokachi big mountain’s aluminum flow in to upper Biei river and so this artificial lake reflects light and shines blue. This lake reflects dead trees, sky and surrounding mountains. It makes visionary world.
This blue lake had been keep-out-area ever, now the environmental construction had completed and people can visit free. This is became a closet tourist attraction but bears appears frequently this area, the road from national high way have not maintenance. You should do much preparation and pay attention.
This BIei is known for hill and has Taisetu mountain and Tokachi peaks. Shirogane hot spring is a leading one in Hokkaido. How about visit Shirahige fall which is near here.

Translation: Haruka Kibataで、上流の美瑛川に十勝岳の地下水にあるアルミニウムの成分が流れ込むことで、光の反射により青く輝き、立ち枯れ樹林や空、周辺の山々を池面に美しく映し出し、幻想的な風景を生み出している。
白金の青い池は、以前は立ち入り禁止区域となっていたが、現在は周辺の工事も完了し、一般の立ち入りも自由にできるようになったことで、隠れた観光名所のひとつになっている。しかし周辺は、熊が出没するなど、危険も伴う。また国道から池までの道も舗装されていない。訪れるには十分な用意と注意が必要だ。
丘のまちとして知られる美瑛町は大雪山や十勝岳連峰の雄大な風景が望める北海道の名所だ。また、白金温泉は北海道有数の温泉地のひとつとして古くから知られている。美瑛川に流れ込む「白髭の滝」もすぐ近くなのでこちらも合わせて訪れたい。
