夕張鹿鳴館Yubari Rokumeikan

Yubari is a city in Hokkaido once flourished in coral mines. Only opened for the limited upper class in the prime time, Yubari Rokumaikan is reopened with a completion of auberge “Yuzanso” in the spring of 2010かつて炭鉱で栄えた町、夕張。その全盛期にごく限られた上流階級のみが利用できた「夕張鹿鳴館（旧北炭鹿の谷倶楽部）」にオーベルジュ「夕山荘」が完成し2010年春に生まれ変わった。北炭鹿の谷倶楽部は大正2年（1913年）に建設され、昭和58年（1983年）まで、主に当時の迎賓館として利用され、平成6年（1994年）から夕張鹿鳴館として一般公開されていた。
夕張鹿鳴館は、当時の建築技術の粋を集めた、贅を尽くした本格的和風建築物。昭和天皇・皇后両陛下、さらには今の天皇陛下がご宿泊されたこともある格式高い施設で、2001年には北海道遺産推進協議会より「北海道遺産」に、2007年には経済産業省が認定している「近代化産業遺産」に認定されており、その文化的価値も認められている。
建物内部は記念館として公開されている。当時、会議場として設計され、来賓などのもてなしの場としても使われ、舞踏会も行われていたホールは、60席（最大80席）の多目的スペースに、そして大正ロマンの雰囲気を再現したフレンチレストラン「ミレディ」と宿泊施設「夕山荘」が新たに完成した。
レストラン「ミレディ」では、四季折々の旬な道産食材を中心としたフレンチを楽しめる。総料理長を務める増川シェフは、渡仏時には星付きレストランで修行を重ね、国内ホテルの料理長を歴任してきた人物。ランチ（11:00〜15:00）、ディナー（17:00〜21:00）共に「鹿の谷」という地名にちなみ、鹿肉を使ったメニューを取り入れているのも特徴だ。

http://www.yubari-rokumeikan.com. Originally known as Hokutan Shika no Tani Club, the building was first built in 1913, and used as a guest palace until 1983. Since 1994 it opened its door to the public as Yubari Rokumeikan.
Yubari Rokumeikan is located in a luxurious formal Japanese architecture that collects a range of stylish building engineering at the time. Known for that the Showa Emperor and Empress as well as the current Emperor have stayed, the prestigious building is recognized its cultural value as it was officially designated as a Hokkaido Heritage site by Hokkaido Heritage Promotion Council in 2001, as well as Heritage of Industrial Modernization certified by Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry in 2007.
Inside the building is open to the public. Once designed as a meeting hall and used as a guest place for dance, the large hall is currently opened as a Taisho Style restaurant “Milady” with 60 seats (max 80 seats) which could be used as a multi-purpose hall. In the building there also completed a new accommodation “Yuzanso”.
The restaurant Milady offers French cuisine that you can enjoy Hokkaido’s seasonal food. After tranined at restaurants with stars in France, the master chef Masukawa has worked as a master chef in hotels nationwide. Based on the name of location “Shika no Tani” (Valley of Deer), they serves special menu using venison for lunch (11:00-15:00) and dinner (17:00-21:00).
