ノリア（ノルベサの観覧車）Noria

On the roof of a building which is close to both the shopping area and Susukino, an urban Ferris wheel named Noria was founded. It’s 45.4m in diameter and 75m from the ground札幌のショッピングエリアからもすすきのからも近い、ビルの屋上に札幌初の都市型観覧車が誕生した。「ノリア」と名付けられたこの観覧車の直径は45.5m、地上78mにあり、一般的には「ノルベサの観覧車」として知られている。
ノルベサとはこの観覧車が建てられている大型商業ビルの名前。ノルベサと観覧車は2006年にオープン。ビル内にはショッピングエリアやサロン、レストラン、カフェ、ゲームセンター、ボーリング場、カラオケ、ネットカフェなどの施設がある。無料のお笑いライブをはじめ、夏には屋上にビアガーデンもオープンするなど、様々なイベントも開催されている。
観覧車は32基の4人乗りゴンドラを完備している。基本的にゴンドラは赤く塗られているが、7番のゴンドラだけは黄色で、幸せの黄色いゴンドラと言われている。観覧車は約10分で一周。天気がいい日には遠くの山も見渡すことができ、夜には札幌の美しい夜景が一望できる。観覧車自体もカラフルに輝いていて、札幌の夜の街を美しく飾っている。
観覧車はバリアフリー対応なので、車いすのまま乗車することもできる。クリスマスにはイルミネーションが飾られ、大晦日から元旦にかけては、営業時間を延長し、カウントダウンや初日の出のイベントも行っている。すすきのと大通りの間にあり、地下鉄、市電、路線バスの駅からも近い。

Norbesa is the name of the building of an entertainment complex that Noria stands on. They opened together in 2006. In Norbesa, there are fashion shops, a salon, restaurants, cafes, an arcade, bowling alley, karaoke and internet cafe. Many events are also held there like free comedy shows and beer garden on the roof in Summer.
Noria has 32 gondolas and each holds 4 people. All gondolas except seventh are colored with red. The seventh gondola is colored with yellow and called “The yellow gondola of Happiness”. The Ferris wheel makes a round in about 10 minutes. The view from it is wonderful. On sunny day, we can see the mountains far. In the evening, we can enjoy the panoramic night view. As Noria itself is also coruscating, it makes Sapporo’s night view more beautiful.
Since Noria is barrier-free, of course wheelchair users can also use it. In the Christmas season, Christmas illuminations are displayed. On the New Year’s Eve, they extend opening hours and hold a New Year’s coutdown party. Located between Susukino and Odori, it is easy to access by subway, streetcar and bus.
