北海道百年記念塔Hokkaido Centennial Memorial Tower

北海道立自然公園に指定された野幌森林公園内施設のひとつである「北海道百年記念塔」。(昭和43年9月着工、昭和45年9月完成) 野幌丘陵の高台に天高くそびえるこの塔は、開拓に尽くした先人の偉業をたたえ Hokkaido Centennial Memorial Tower is a tower in the Nopporo Forest Park, which is designated as a Prefectural Park. Its construction started in September 1968 and finished in September 1970. The high tower that rises up on the Nopporo Hill symbolizes the praise for ancestors who opened up Hokkaido and the determination to build bright future.
It is 100m in height for the centennial commemoration of the Hokkaido. There is an observatory room at the 8th floor.(23.5m) From there, you can overlook both Sapporo and Ebetsu.
Imitating snow crystals, a hexagonal open space expands at the foot. The cross section of the tower illustrates an chinese character that means North. The uneven wall represents the long history that people struggled through wind and snow and the vertical axis shows their hope for the future.

開道百年にちなんで高さは100ｍあり、８階部分（23.5ｍ）に展望室が設置されている。展望室からは札幌、江別の町を見渡すことができる。
塔の下には雪の結晶を模した六角形の広場が広がり、塔の水平断面は「北」の文字を、壁面の凹凸は風雪と闘った長い歴史の流れを、垂直方向は未来への意欲を表している。
