バー・ザ・アイスBAR THE ICE
都会に隣接する藻岩山に、冬の寒さが作り出す氷の神秘的な世界を演出するアートプロジェクト「BAR THE ICE」が期間限定でオープンした。世界的に活躍する造形作家、タケナカヒロヒコ氏が氷の造形作品製作や空間プロデュースを行う。An art project that produces the mysterious world of the ice by the cold of winter, “BAR THE ICE” has opened for a limited time only at Mt. Moiwa which is situated next to the city. A worldwide figurative artist, Hirohiko Takenaka produces the space and ice works.期間中、約８ｍの氷のタワー６塔、直径約６ｍのドーム２基をエントランスドームが連結する氷のドームが登場し、約50人が収容可能。メニューには、札幌ゆかりの素材を使用。スイートアイスピック（氷柱のデザート風）、ホットミルク、ホットワイン、ホットカクテルなどホットドリンクを中心としている。
このプロジェクトは、観光活性化につながるとともに、氷の美しさを表現するアートのプロジェクトでもある。製作スタッフには、全国のアーティストが加わり、今後は、札幌在住のアーティストとのコラボレーションを目指していく。
