MEET. is a creative salon aiming to gather, learn, play, interact and create an opportunity, as themed “meeting.” It was opened in the center of Sapporo, in October 2014MEET.（ミート）は、「出会い」をテーマに、集い、学び、遊び、交わり、きっかけをつくるクリエイティブサロン。2014年10月に札幌の中心部へオープンした。運営するデザイン・プロダクション「コミューン」は、これまで国内外で様々なデザインやブランディングに携わってきたが、彼らにとっての“クリエイティブ”とは、暮らしかたや生き方を学ぶこと、地域や社会のために何かをすることでもあるようだ。
MEET.では、ギャラリーとして展示会を行うほか、イベント、セミナー、ライブ、マーケット、スクール、ワークショップ、料理教室などを開催し、集まった人々を巻き込みながら、彼ら自身が単純に面白がれること、未来にとって意義あること、やりたいことを次々に実現している。
2015年秋にオープン予定のオフグリッド・カフェ「フィジカル」は、可能な限りすべてにおいてDIYを目指し、必要な電気は太陽光発電、熱エネルギーは薪ストーブやロケットストーブが使用される。将来的には食材も、畑や養蜂による自給自足を目指している。
ここでは、クリエイティブでありながら、物質的な豊かさにとらわれず、独自の価値観を持った様々な人と出会うことができそうだ。イベント情報をぜひチェックしてほしい。

Though the design production “COMMUNE” which organizes the salon has been produced various international design and branding, the “creative” for them seems also to learn the way of living and the life, and do something for community and society.
At MEET., not only holding exhibitions as gallery, they planned many opportunities such as events, seminars, live performances, marche style events, study meeting, workshops and cooking classes. And with involving visitors, they are executing what they want to do, they themselves can simply fun and there is significance for the future, one after another.
As an off-grid cafe “Physical” scheduled to open in Autumn 2015 aims at DIY all as far as possible, they will use solar power for electricity and wood stove and rocket one for thermal energy. In the future, they will aim for self-sufficiency by groves and beekeeping.
Here, yet creative, it would be possible to meet various people who have own values without being biased by physical wealth. By all means, please check out the event information.
