As soon as you open the door, you enter a world detached from reality. “Bar MUSZE” is located passed North Unagidani street next to Shinsaibashi station. As you descend down the stairs, the space opens upお店の扉を開くとそれは、「非現実」の世界への入り口だった。心斎橋駅そばの鰻谷北通りを抜けると「Bar MUSZE」（バー・ミューズ）はある。階段を降りていくと広がる空間。アンティークの照明があたたかく灯る店内。型にはまった席はなく、ソファ、アームチェアからラウンジチェアまで様々な席と、奥にはバーカウンターが用意されている。今日はどの席に座ろうか。
この場所に店をオープンしたのは2009年12月。1999年に東大阪で「MUSZE WELL」（ミューズ・ウォール）という店を出してから５店目となり、「空間のバランス」を大切にしてこれまでやってきた。
バーは大人の社交場であり、目に見えないルールもある。オーナー・スタッフも含め、シャツに蝶タイにベスト等、現在進行形のオーセンティックスタイルで接客対応にも抜かりがない。人気酒のロンサカパは、１杯1000円。海抜2300メートルの雲の上で熟成されるプレミアムラム酒だ。この空間には欠かせない一杯である。
店では音楽イベントも頻繁に行われている。ライブの際には、オーナー自らDJを担当することもある。「ライブイベントでのＤＪは、あくまでもライブ前のフロア作りの要因だ」と話す。後ろに廻って支えに徹するオーナーさんの姿がうかがえる。「DJ JUNIA’S Compose Sense」 （第1、第3土曜日24時～5時）というイベントも開催しているが、音楽を発信することに固執しているわけではない。むしろ、常連客へのおもてなしに近い。音楽も”空間を作り上げるひとつの要素”なのだろう。
『質の良い選択肢を、できるだけ多く揃えておくことがお店のできること』とオーナーの安田さんは話す。映像や音楽、サロンといろんな要素を用意している。それぞれが自由に想いを馳せることのできる心地よい“時間”。様々なストーリーを作り出せる空間。これこそが、Bar MUSZEなのだ。

Text: Chiaki Ogura. The interior is lit with a warm, antique glow. The seats are not stylized, but are an arrangement of sofas, arm chairs and lounge chairs, and there is a bar counter in the back. Where would you like to sit today?
The shop was opened at this location in December 2009. In 1999, it was established as the fifth shop in eastern Osaka as “MUSZE WELL”, which had placed importance on the “balance of space”.
The bar is a meeting place for adults with rules that are invisible to the naked eye. The owner and staff are dressed in bow ties and vests, and leave nothing to chance in their authentic style of hospitality. A glass of the popular liquor Ron Zacapa is 1000 yen. It is a premium alcohol that is aged in the clouds 2,300 meters above sea level. It is an indispensable drink for this space.
There are also frequent music events at the store. During the concerts, the owner himself is responsible for being the DJ. He explained, “The event DJ is the contributing factor in creating the space before the concert.” You can see the owner supporting the event from the background. Although there is the event “DJ JUNIA’S Compose Sense” every first and third Saturday from 24:00-5:00, the objective is not just to transmit music, but rather to give hospitality to it’s regular customers. Music is “one element that makes up the space”.
The owner, Mr. Yasuda said, “they have aimed to created a store that has as many high quality selections as possible gathered together”. This includes elements such as music and video. It is a “time” that allows everyone to be comfortable to freely think. It is a space that that allows you to create a variety of stories. This is what Bar MUSZE is about.
