Ippudo NY was opened on March, 2008. It has noodle making production in the basement and counter and booth seats on the first floor2008年3月、「IPPUDO NY（一風堂 ニューヨーク店）」がオープンした。地下に麺工場を備え、１階はウェイティングバーとラウンジエリアを配置し、ラーメン以外の創作メニューもゆっくりと楽しめる空間となっている。
「一風堂」が産声を上げたのは1985年。1994年に世界初のフードテーマパーク「新横浜ラーメン博物館」に出店したことで、一風堂ブランドと「豚骨ラーメン」は一気に全国区となり、現在の店舗数は約40店に及ぶ。
一風堂 ニューヨーク店では、１日の利用客の８割がニューヨーカーだという。舌の肥えたニューヨーカーにも受け入れられたことで、今後さらに一風堂は国内のみならず、世界に向けてこだわりのその味を発信していくだろう。
もはや「日本食」といってもいいラーメン。「日本のラーメンを地球食にする」という一風堂の新しい挑戦がはじまった。
