2005年にひっそりとスタートしたファッションブランド「アルファ60」は今やメルボルンのデザインをリードする存在として知られ、オーストラリア中に店舗を展開する。ブランドを率いる兄と妹のコンビは、進化を続けるメルボルンのファッションシーンの代表的存在である。
他では見られないクラシックなスタイルが名高い、革新的デザイン。二人が生み出すのは単色の、個性的で洗練された作品。これがブランドの特色だ。
メルボルン市内には、どんな場合にもとても便利な立地に、アルファ60のブティックが４店舗ある。中世の薬屋のような趣があり、かつ優雅なブティック「アルファビル」。その内のほとんどの店には、1965年発表のジャン=リュック・ゴダールの同名の映画「アルファビル」の写真が飾ってあり、映画的な気分を味わわせてくれる。店内に足を踏み入れれば、そこは素敵な洋服と、地元デザイナーによる豊富なジュエリーの世界。手ぶらでは帰れないはず！
