火炭芸術村Fotanian
「伙炭」意谓一群在火炭工厂大厦内聚集，对艺术充满热诚的一伙人。随着本港工业北移，自2000年开始，不少本地艺术家纷纷在工厂大厦设立工作室。进驻火炭的艺术工作者逐年递增， 形成一个充满活力的艺术村Located in the south of the city center Hong Kong, Fotanian used to be one of the major industrial area in Hong Kong, and now is becoming a live/work place for artists who looks for a huge space香港の中心から南に位置する、火炭芸術村。かつては香港の主な工場地帯の一つだったが、2000年以来多くの製造業が中国本土へと移った為、工場だった多くの建物が空虚となり、芸術家が広い制作スペースを求め to make their works in the vacant factory buildings, as many manufacturers moved to their main land to China since 2000. Fotanian now turned out to be the biggest art community in Hong Kong.
Since the most of the space is used as artists’ studios, public people usually cannot go inside the building. Since 2003, however, people who are interested in up-and-coming artists and their art works, can visit and see their studios while the open studio program is held once a year. As the number of artists who moved to Fotanian increases, so does visitors for the open studio program year by year. In 2009 Fotanian and Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre (JCCAC) which was established in 2008 as a hub of art and creative culture collaborated to open up the open studio program together. Over 170 artists and 49 studios participated in the program and it welcomed over 10,000 art lovers.
You can find art studios dotting the vacant space in 18 factory buildings in Fotanian. Wah Luen Industrial Building is one of the largest numbers of studios.
Fotanian can be reached by taking East Rail to Fo Tan Station and taking taxi for 5 minutes. Like artists in Tokyo, artists in Hong Kong have hard time to look for work spaces. Fotanian is just 30 minutes away from city center Hong Kong, which is perfect work setting as you can feel green and can be away from the busy everyday city life. I wish Fotanian could be a key place for the development of art scene in the future Hong Kong.

Translation: Mariko Takeiて移り住んでいる、香港地区で最大の芸術群落である。
スペースの多くは芸術家のアトリエとして利用されている為、普段は一般の人は入ることができないが、2003年以来年に一度、オープンスタジオプログラムが組まれ、一般の人でも、若いこれからの芸術家や、大作に取り組む作家の作品を見にアトリエスペースを訪れる事ができる。このオープンスタジオプログラムは、移り住む芸術家の数に比例して年々訪問者数が増え、今年2009年には アートとクリエーティブ文化のハブとして2008年に設立されたジョッキー・クラブ・アーツ・センター（JCCAC）と同時開催を試み、49のスタジオと170人以上のアーティストが参加し、1万人以上の芸術愛好家が訪れた。
アート関係のスタジオやアトリエは、火炭村にある18の工場ビルの空きスペースに点在している。その中で最も多くスタジオがある號華聯工業中心（ワリュン・インダストリアルセンタービル）が中心的存在となっている。
火炭芸術村は、東鐵線（East Rail）の東尖沙咀から６駅目に位置する火炭駅で下車し、タクシーに乗り５分程度で到着する。東京に住むアーティスト同様に制作スペースに悩む香港のアーティストが、香港の中心からものの30分しか離れていない緑溢れるこの火炭の地で、日常の慌ただしさから離れ、制作に没頭できる充分な空間を持てる事が、今後の香港のアートの発展の鍵となる事を願っている。

「伙炭艺术工作室开放计划」是每年一度的本地艺术界盛事。开放日于每年1月份连续两个周末于火炭工业区举行。届时艺术家将开放他们的工作室，让公众人士按图索骥，游访他们的创作天地。参与的艺术家来自不同背境，展出作品包括有绘画、雕塑、陶瓷、混合媒介、版画、摄影及录像等。观众在参观各艺术家的创作天地及体验他们创作历程时，更可与艺术家直接对话，在轻松的气氛下交流创作心得和经验。
是年开放计划亦为历届规模最大，集合近180位艺术家及50个工作室，让您发掘本地艺术的最新面貌。
