Every capital in the world has its “place not to miss” when you are visiting. In Copenhagen there are 2, one is The Little Mermaid statue and the other one is VEGA. Located in the heart of Vesterbro世界中どこの国の首都を訪れても「見逃せない名所」というのはあるものだが、コペンハーゲンには２カ所ある。ひとつは「人魚姫」の像、そしてもうひとつが「ヴェガ」だ。さまざまなショップ等で賑わう、こざっぱりとしたヴェスターブロ地区の中心部に位置しており、有名なデンマーク人建築家、ヴィルヘルム・ラウリッツェンによって50年代に設計されたビルを使って営業している。
内部にはそれぞれ個性の違う部屋が用意されており、さまざまな用途に利用することができる。ヴェガのインテリアはシックな色合いの木製パネルやマホガニー材のフローリング、壁の帯状装飾に加えて、手すりやランプ類等にはオリジナルの意匠が施されており、スカンジナビア建築としてはユニークなものとなっている。
ヴェガは素晴らしいコンサートホールとして世界的に知られているが、それだけでなく、ナイト・クラブやプライベートなパーティを開くことのできる空間も備えている。この特殊な環境が、店内にとてもスペシャルなバイブレーションをつくり出しているのだ。
月毎のスケジュールは、スカンジナビアのシーンではもちろん、世界的にも高評価を受けている最高峰のバンドのショウで一杯だ。また、一階にはおしゃれな「アイディール・バー」が店を構えている。同じく50年代の息吹を感じる同店は、入り口を別に持ち、独自のショウやイベントも催している。素敵なディナーの余韻を楽しむのにも最適のスポットだ。
ヴェガまではコペンハーゲン中央駅から徒歩15分、イングハブ駅からは10分の場所にある。それぞれの駅から10番、3A番のバスを利用することも可能。コペンハーゲンには行けないという人はヴェガ・プレイヤーに登録してネットでショウを楽しんでほしい。

Translation: Kazuyuki Yoshimura, a fresh up district in town fullfit with stores and places to hang out. It is a whole building from the fifties designed by the famous Danish architect Vilhelm Lauritzen.
Inside different rooms are prepared for the entertainment. VEGA’s interior is with dark wooden panelling, mahogany floors, friezes, and many original details in banisters, balustrades, lamps etc. that makes the house a unique example of Scandinavian architecture.
Although VEGA as a venue enjoys of the worldwide recognition due its concert halls, you also find different rooms for the Night Club or private hosted parties. Due its rare design, there is a very special vibe in VEGA.
The monthly programme for gigs and shows is full booked with he best international bands not just for the acclaimed Scandinavian scene but also from the international scope on the road.
In addition, in the street-level is located Ideal Bar, it is the cute corner-bar in VEGA. It also breaths the fifties style. The bar has its own entrance, events and programme and it is a perfect spot to warm up the night after a nice dinner in the neighbourghood.
VEGA is a fifteen minutes walk from the Copenhagen central station and ten minutes from Enghave station. You can also take buses number 10 and number 3A from each location respectively.
