Notorious, the most beloved jazz space in Buenos Aires, is located on Callao Avenue which is famous for its princely architecture which was inspired by the Haussmann style of Parisパリのオスマン建築を髣髴させ、豪壮な様相を放つカジャオ大通りに、ジャズ好きに最も親しまれているジャズスペースがある。それがここ「ノトリアス」。
入り口を入るとまずレコードストアになっている。入手困難な輸入ＣＤもここなら安易に見つかってしまう。ピンポイントで狙いのＣＤがあれば、まず店員に聞こう。お求めのＣＤをあっという間に取り出してきてくれるはず。店内を奥に進むとテーブルが置かれた飲食スペースがある。
ノトリアスでは、ほぼ毎日のようにジャズライブが行われている。国内外を問わず有名ジャズミュージシャンを迎えるのは勿論のこと、スウィング、ワールドミュージック等と豊富なジャンルで楽しめるのもここの醍醐味。観光客、地元のジャズファン、音楽家、音楽好きのボヘミアン、学生など、ぶらりとジャズを聴きに来る客層も幅広い。
カフェコンサートというスタイルが近年なじみになってきたブエノスアイレスだが、ここノトリアスはレストランとしてのメニューも本格的。おいしいワインリストからフレッシュなデザート類まで贅沢にそろっている。
散歩がてらふと足を止めてＣＤを視聴してみるだけでもいい、ゆったりとライブを楽しみに行くのもいい。誰もが好きな時間に好きなだけ、好きな感覚で音楽を楽しめるジャズのユートピア。

The first area after the entrance functions as a record store. Besides common discs, you can even purchase rare imported discs, which are supposedly very difficult to obtain. If you are looking for a specific CD, you can ask a member of staff. They can find exactly what you want very quickly. At the back of the shop there is a restaurant.
There are jazz concerts almost every day. Famous national and international jazz musicians are welcomed here, as well as the music of rich genres such as swing and world music. They always attract a wide range of clientele such as tourists, local musicians, bohemian jazz fans, music lovers, students, etc.
In recent years this style of cafe concert has become quite familiar in Buenos Aires, but Notorious could also be classified as a nice and authentic restaurant with a rich menu. You can enjoy their very good wine list as well as fresh and delicious desserts.
Each one of us has different options available, for example, one can just go to listen to sample CDs, and others can reserve a place to enjoy listening to concerts. Notorious is a jazz utopia where you can go when you want, for as long as you want.
