Buenos Aires has a vibrant fashion industry, with some treasures to be discovered. THEM is one of them. The responsible are two audacious designers: Angie Chevallier – who used to be the half of the renowned brand A.Y. Not Deadブエノスアイレスにはとっておきのアイテムが揃う、活気に満ち溢れたファッション業界があり、ゼムはその一つ。代表を務めるのはエネルギッシュなデザイナーの２人。アンジー・シェヴァリエは以前、有名ブランド「A.Y.ノット・デッド」で活動をしており、イザベル・ガルシア・カルボはロンドンで彼女自身のブランド「Tu.tu.blu」で仕事をしていた。
この刺激に満ちた２人の女性にこの街について伺った。
自己紹介と活動について教えてください。
ブエノスアイレスの街について教えて下さい。
折衷的で国際的であると同時にラテン的でヨーロッパ的。活気が満ちていて魅惑的、そしてとても詩的なこの街は、おもしろい事や、エネルギッシュで素敵な人々で溢れています！
ブエノスアイレスのファッションデザインについてどのように感じますか？
それぞれに強いパーソナリティが含まれた新しいコンセプチュアルなブランドを勇敢にスタートさせる才能に溢れた新人若手デザイナーが多く、ファッションデザインはブエノスアイレスでとても面白い時代が来ていると言えます。
彼らの仕事は素晴らしく、商業的な大手のブランドに支配されたこの業界に新鮮な空気を送り込んでくれます。
ブエノスアイレスの好きな場所を教えてください。
飲食には：
ダダ・ビストロ：素敵で個性のある雰囲気のお店でディナーにはもちろん、お酒を飲むだけでも。
ファリネリ：軽くランチを食べたり、ちょっと休憩するのにぴったり。
エル・オブレロ：ボカ地区に行ってバーベキューを食べよう。
おでかけには：
プロア：ボカ地区に位置する現代アートミュージアム。アートとともに素晴らしい景色、美味しい食べ物、そして街の歴史も学べます。
ブエノスアイレス・ラテンアメリカ・アート美術館（MALBA）：現代の最新の展覧会と一緒に、ラテンアメリカンアートの素晴らしい常設コレクションを楽しめる場所。
パティオ・デル・リセオ：本や音楽、タロットまでがミックスされたデザイナーズショップが一緒になったアートスタジオと地下にはアートギャラリーがある。フィエブレ・ガレリアをチェックしてオープニングが開催されていることの多い金曜日に行くのがおすすめ。
サンテルモ地区：ブエノスアイレスに来たらここを見逃せない。アンティークやヴィンテージのお店でショッピングもいいし、頭の中のアイディアとペンだけを持ってカフェを巡るのも楽しい。
ゴング (634 Cordoba Avenue, downtown)：長い夜を過ごしたいなら、木曜の夜に「デングーパーティ」にぜひ行ってみて下さい。
ショッピングには：
カビネット：MALBAのスタッフのキュレーションによるコンセプトストア。地元のデザイナーとアーティストの欠点のない作品チョイスで、主にジュエリーと衣服を組み合わせたオブジェクトを扱っている。アートブックも要チェック！

Could you tell us about your city? What do you think about it?
Eclectic, cosmopolitan, simultaneously Latin and European. It’s vibrant, seductive with stirring poetry. Fun, filled with energy and beautiful people!
How do you feel about fashion design in Buenos Aires?
Fashion design is going through a very interesting time in Buenos Aires with lots of new talented young designers who bravely started new conceptual brands each one of them with their own strong personality. They do their job great and is fresh air for the industry ruled by commercial big brands.
Please tell us about your favorite places in Buenos.
To eat/drink:
Dadá Bistro: great place to have dinner or just a drink at night with a nice atmosphere and interesting characters.
Farinelli: Perfect to grab a snack at lunch or have a break at time time…
El Obrero: The parrilla to go in La Boca.
To go out:
Proa: Contemporary art museum placed in La Boca. To enjoy art, a great view, delicious food and a bit of history from the city.
Malba (Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires): Fantastic permanent collection of latin american art as well as contemporary cutting edge exhibitions.
Patio del Liceo: Art Studios and underground art galleries mixed with designer shops, book and music stores and tarot readers. Great to go on Fridays where usually some opening will be taking place. Check for Fiebre Galeria.
Barrio de San Telmo: You can’t miss this if you are in Buenos Aires! Great for antiques and vintage shopping as well as just hanging around in a cafe with your pen and thoughts.
Gong (634 Cordoba Avenue, downtown): If you want to have a long night out head yourself to the “Dengue party” on thursdays night!
To Shop:
Kabinett: Its a concept store curated by the people from Malba and it has an impecable selection of work from local designers and artists, mainly objects combined with some jewelry and one-off garments. Also check for art books!
Panorama: New fashion design from Buenos Aires all in one place!
THEM: If you want cool clothes, you have to check this! Great prints and garments that will become part of your skin.
