Garza Lobos is the project of Constanza von Niederhäusern and Rubén Troilo, which has a special approach to detailed design and the use of natural raw materialsガーザ・ロボスは風変わりであったり、入手しにくかったり、製造が難しい繊細なデザインや自然素材に取り組むコンスタンザ・フォン・ニーダーホイゼルンとルベン・トロイロによるプロジェクトだ。コンスタンザ・フォン・ニーダーホイゼルンは家族代々続くパタゴニア羊毛刈りの伝統を引き継ぎ、現在は主にビクーニャやグアナコ、ラマ、メリノー羊毛などの高価な原料繊維の維持と開発を行なっている。ルベン・トロイロはファッション関係の仕事経験者で、トロスマン・チューバとトロスマンで数年の勤務経験がある。
ブエノスアイレスの都市について教えていただけますか？
ブエノスアイレスについて客観的にお話しする事はありません。私達はブエノスアイレスの一部の様な気がしています。まるでこの街が私達を創り、そのお返しに私達がこの街を造った様な感覚です。この街は誰も構想を練らずに発達した様な街です。長い間履いてとっても好きな生地になったジーンズの様です。
自分である、という街に住み、そこで活動を行なうのはどの様な感じか教えてください。
デザイナーである事は自分が街の所有者である様な空想をみます。何かが違う所へ動かされた方が良いと考えたり、装飾がある所にあれば良い、など。つまり自分が住む街というのは自分がどの様なデザイナーになるかを定めるでしょう。

Constanza is the one who has followed her family tradition of Patagonia sheep shearing, now centring her work in the securing and development of luxurious textile fibres, such as vicuna, guanaco, lama or ultra thin merino wool; on the other hand, Rubén provides the knowledge of a career in fashion that includes years of experience working for Trosman Churbs and Trosman.
What could you tell us about the city of Buenos Aires?
We have no perspective to talk about Buenos Aires, we feel part of the same thing, as if the city were what has built us and we in turn had built it. It seems to be a city that has developed without anyone planning it, like a pair of jeans we have worn for a long time and whose texture we like.
Please tell us about how is living in your city yourself and doing your activity there.
Being a designer creates the fantasy that one is the owner of the city, you think that something needs to be moved to another place, some ornaments need to be put up somewhere, and ,therefore, the city you live in defines the kind of designer you will turn out to be.
