周辺の店舗と一線を画すその個性は豊富な品揃えと低価格にある。グラフィックデザイナーとしても活動するオーナー兼クリエイターのバルタン・ムーラティアンは、この店の誕生について語ってくれた。『色とりどりでアヴァンギャルドな雰囲気を持つ場所にしたかったのです。上品さも兼ね備えつつ、お財布にも優しい店に。でも一歩足を踏み入れれば、笑顔で出迎えて貰えるという点が何よりもまず重要でした。』
入り口は様々な色・形で飾られているが、上手く調和して見る者の感覚に訴えかけてくる。販売されている商品もそれぞれ違ったデザイナーや職人が手掛けた品だが、どれもがまとまり一つの流れを作っている。だから店内を回ってみてもうるさいという感じがなく、落ち着いて手にとって見る事ができる。
部屋の模様替えにも、そして自分へのご褒美にも、ティエンダ・パラシオでお気に入りの品を見つけて楽しいひと時を過ごしてみてはいかがだろうか。

What renders it different from the other stores in the area are its refined variety and low prices, both the responsibility of Vartan Mouratian – graphic designer, owner and creator of Tienda Palacio. Vartan tells us how he came up with the idea for the store. ‘I wanted a place with colour and avant-garde, which was chic enough without hurting one’s pocket, had a solid proposal and which, above all, was a place where one would be warmly attended, with a smile.’
The entrance to the store has a magical effect upon visitors: colours and shapes unfold in unison, drawing the attention of the perceptual senses. Although the creations belong to different designers, artisans and artists, there is a predominant aesthetic harmony that renders it simple to walk around the store and browse through the items for sale.
In order to redecorate one’s home, buy presents or indulge oneself, diving into the shelves at Tienda Palacio seems to be the ideal plan.
