There is a piece by artist Marcel Duchamp entitled ‘Portable Museum’, which contains a selection of the artist’s most important works of art within a cabinet. This piece has inspired Delfina Muniz Barreto (Architect), Delfina Braun (Psychologist)「携帯式移動式美術館」と名付けられたマルセル・デュシャンの作品がある。キャビネットの中にデュシャンの最も重要な作品を納めたものだ。この作品に駆り立てられ、 デルフィナ・ムニズ・バレト（建築家）、デルフィナ・ブラウン（心理学者）、ファクンド・デ・ファルコ（ティエンダマルバの創設者でディレクター）が「カビネット」を設立した。｢カビネット｣という名前はドイツ語で「本と美術品を収蔵するプライベートルーム」を意味する。いわゆる、キャビネット（飾り棚）として翻訳される。
通りから見る外観はとても独創的で訪問者の注意を引く。デビッド・ウィークス、ハリー・アレン、ジョナス・デーモンらアーティスト作品や、ロモグラフィ、ネット、ディセニャベラルなどのデザイン会社によるアイテムが、まるでミニマリズムの宇宙船を思わせるように配置されている。
さらに、おもしろいのが美術に関する本だ。 建築、ファッション、デザイン、写真そして映画 など、ファイドン、タッシェン、ディゲシュタルテンのような世界的な出版社からの本がそろっている。また、 マルティン・チュルバ、トラマンド、ヘルマノス・エステベコレナのような地元デザイナーの服飾やアクセサリー、芸術品や音楽やテクノロジーも提供する。
最も素晴らしい事は、ここで販売されている製品が、非の打ち所がないほどハイセンスであることだ。ここを訪れたらヨーロッパまたはアメリカを感じずにはいられない。

Translation: Yuriko Nakamo and Facundo De Falco (director and founder of Tiendamalba) driving them to create Kabinett. The name of the store refers to a German word, which has been translated as cabinet, and means ‘private room containing books and works of art’.
From the street, the special facade of the store warns visitors about the originality to be found indoors. As if in a kind of minimalist spaceship, there are items such as objects by David Weeks, Harry Allen, Jonas Damon or design companies like Lomography, Net, Diseñaveral. In addition, there is an interesting range of books on art, architecture, fashion, design, photography and cinema from international publishing houses, such as Phaidon, Taschen, Die Gestalten. Kabinett also offers clothes and accessories by local designers, such as Martín Churba, Tramando, Hermanos Estebecorena, works of art, music and technology.
The most interesting detail of this new place is, doubtless, the impeccable good taste with which the products sold here have been selected. It is impossible not to feel European or American reminiscences when visiting Kabinett.
