On El Salvador Street there is a new store in which brightness and broadness are captivating. After going through a corridor that surrounds a huge shop windowエルサルバドル通りでは自由と真新しさが魅惑する新しい店がある。巨大なショップの窓を囲む通路を通った後、私達は自分達をガーザ・ロボスのデザインの中にみつける。ガーザ・ロボスとはトロスマン・チューバとトロスマンの元メンバー、ルベン・トロイロ氏と家族代々続くパタゴニア羊毛刈りの伝統を引き継ぐデザイナー、コンスタンザ・フォン・ニーダーホイゼルンによるプロジェクトだ。
ガーザ・ロボスでは繊細なデザイン、自然素材、新しい印刷過程、そして型にはまらない衣類の製作技術を使った商品を提案している。連続するウォッシングで柔らかくなったり、手作業の糸抜きで縞のデザインを出したシャンタンなど、質感を出したガーゼ生地を扱う。菌類から摘出された物質を使うという日本の技術を通し、大理石模様など様々なプリントが製造される技術が店の太鼓判だ。大胆さと優美さが共存する、そんな斬新さがガーザ・ロボスの特性だろう。
パレルモの中心地に近日オープンした新店舗の他にもイタリアやアメリカ、日本など海外での販売も行なっている。新鮮さが見つかるパレルモソーホーのガーザ・ロボスはお勧めの場所だ。

Translation: Meiko Maruyama, we find ourselves amongst the designs of Garza Lobos, the project of Ruben Troilo – ex member of Trosman-Churba, and then Trosman – and Constanza von Niederhäusern – a designer who has carried on with the family tradition of Patagonia sheep shearing.
The offer at Garza Lobos is based on detailed design, the use of natural raw materials, new printing processes and alternative techniques for the building of clothing items. They work with textured gauze; shantung softened through successive washing or by removing threads by hand, to create strategic stripes. By means of a Japanese technique that involves the use of a substance extracted from fungi, different prints are produced, such as a marbled print, which is one of their hallmarks. Novelty is doubtless Garza Lobos’s main trait, where audacity and the ethereal go hand in hand.
In addition to their brand new store, which has just been opened in the heart of Palermo, they sell their products abroad, in Italy, the USA, and Japan. It is highly recommendable to dive into Garza Lobos’s clothes stands in Palermo Soho, where you will hardly find anything but freshness.
