Fornería is a special place inspired in the old taverns-family restaurants and pizza parlours which populated the city of Buenos Aires in the 1950s and 1960s, with a few New York East Village and Meat Packing District touchesフォルネリアは何とも特別な場所だ。というのも、1950〜60年代にブエノス・アイレスの街で人気を博した古い居酒屋やファミリーレストラン、そしてピザ・パーラーの影響を受け、まるでニューヨークのイーストヴィレッジや精肉店のような雰囲気を醸し出しているからである。
店内には、デザイナーのマリアナ・フロムバウムによって選ばれたボーリングのピンやエナメル加工された品々、すり鉢にすり棒、そして古めかしいアンティーク時計などのコレクションが修復された色々なタイプの家具とともに置かれている。
セットメニューはお客さんが喜ぶものが組み合わされており、シェフのダニエル・ロペスが責任をもって市場にある最良の食材を使っている。例えばイカのフライ、プロバンス産ムール貝、マカロニ・アル・フェッロ（ショートパスタの種類）や木製オーブンで焼き上げられた色んな種類のピザなど、いつでもお客は注文することができる。
他にもスモークサーモンとクリームチーズ、新タマネギを挟んだ自家製ベーグルや、チェダーチーズでつくる自家製チーズバーガーなどサンドウィッチやサラダの軽食メニューがたくさん選べ、さらには朝食や紅茶までも楽しむことができる。
フォルネリアの空間はすばらしくよくできている。まず、一階と二階には美しいホールがありプライベート・イベントにはもってこいだし、コスタリカ通りの一角を臨めるテラスは夏の夜を楽しむのに完璧な場所だ。
街を歩き回った後で、またはショッピングをした後で、人は新鮮で幸福な場所へ行きたくなるものだ。

Collections of rolling pins, enamelled objects, pestles and mortars and old collectible clocks provide it with a special touch together with the variety of recovered or custom made furniture, all decisions made by designer Mariana Flombaum.
The combo is completed by a menu that delights customers, the responsibility of chef Daniel López Martitegui, and includes the best products in the market. Round the clock people order fried baby squids, Provencal mussels, Macaroni al ferro, and a great variety of pizzas made in a wood stove. There are also cosmopolitan options, such as home-made bagels with smoked salmon, cream cheese & spring onions and hand-made cheeseburger with cheddar cheese, among other sandwiches and salads. There are also other delightful options for breakfast and tea.
The space at Fornería is magnificent: it has two beautiful halls, one on the ground floor and the other one on the first floor, which is ideal for private events, as well as a magnificent terrace with a view of the square on Costa Rica Street, which is perfect to enjoy summer nights. An atmosphere of freshness and happiness is predominant in the space, after walking around the area or going shopping, Fornería is an ideal spot to recover your energy and enjoy delightful flavours.
