Recently, Peruvian food became one of the most popular cuisines in Buenos Aires among Porteño people. “Astrid & Gaston” is the restaurant where you can have the most delicious and refined Peruvian cuisine in Buenos Aires近年ブエノスアイレスのポルテーニョたちの間で人気のペルー料理。ブエノスアイレスで最もおいしい、そして洗練されたペルー料理を堪能できるのが、ここ「アストリッド＆ガストン」。アルゼンチンでも新鮮で美味しいシーフードが味わえると評判の店だ。
共にシェフでペルー出身の夫婦アストリッドとガストンがペルーのリマで1994年にオープンしたレストランは、今ではチリ、コロンビア、エクアドル、ベネズエラ、スペイン、メキシコ、そしてアルゼンチンに店舗を構えるまでに至った。ブエノスアイレスではパレルモ地区の静かな住宅街にある古いタウンハウスを改装し2009年にオープン。
今まであまり熟知されていなかったペルー料理にコンテンポラリーなテイストを加え革新を起こす。前菜でやはり人気なのがセビーチェ（魚介類のマリネ）だが、ペルー料理の定番であるカウサ（酸味の利いたポテトサラダ）も逃せない。ワインリストも充実しているが、やはりペルーならではのピスコサワーやピスコのマルティーニを試したい。
南米で、そして世界で、ペルー料理という料理のジャンルを確立させたレストラン。肉料理で知られるアルゼンチンだが、時にはさっぱりとシーフードをエレガントに楽しんでほしい。

Astrid and Gaston, the Peruvian chef couple, opened their own restaurant in Lima in 1994 and then extended their locations to Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Spain, Mexico and Argentina. They opened the Buenos Aires’s one in 2009 in an old petit-hotel in a calm residential district of Palermo.
Astrid and Gastón added contemporary style and innovation to the Peruvian food which was previously not familiar to people. The ceviche (marinated fish) is the popular appetizer dish, but also Causa, a staple of Peruvian cuisine (sour potato salad) is imperative too. They have a substantial wine list, and their special Peruvian pisco sour, and pisco martini.
Astrid and Gastón established Peruvian cuisine as an important genre of cuisine in South America and the world. Argentina is known for meat, and it’s strongly recommended to sometimes enjoy an elegant and refreshing seafood in the Peruvian style.
