The most important art circuit in Buenos Aires is found in the area of Recoleta: The Museum of Fine Arts, Palais de Glace, The Decorative Art Museum, Malba Museum and Recoleta Cultural centreブエノスアイレスの文化の中枢、レコレータ地区。ここには様々な文化施設がある。ブエノスアイレス国立美術館、バレ・ド・グラス、デコラティブ・アート美術館、ブエノスアイレス現代美術館、そしてレコレータ文化センターである。
レコレータ文化センターは17世紀に建てられた古い建物の中にある。この建物は、イエズス会士の建築家ジュアン・クラウスとジュアン・ウォルフ、そしてイタリア人アンドレス・ブランキによって建てられ、その後二度の改築を経た。一度目の改築は19世紀、ジュアン・ブシアッソによって行われ、1980年、クロリンド・テスタ、ルイス・ベネディット、ジャックス・ベデルという有能な建築家によって二度目の改築が行われた。
レコレータ文化センター内では、10ほどの展覧会を一度に巡ることができる。右側の建物にはメインとなる展覧会場「クロノピオス」がある。ここでは主に著名なアルゼンチン人アーティスト達の展示が行われており、その隣には２つの主要なホールが位置している。その他の展示場は左側の建物の中にあり、そこでは主に新進の若手アーティスト達の展覧会を開催している。
この文化センターの内装で目を引くのは、その溢れんばかりの明るさ。いくつもの展示場を繋ぐ役割を果たしている古くからの中庭があり、それに面して大きな窓が備えられているのだ。中庭に加えて大きなテラスもあり、そこからはプラザ・フランシアや、デル・リベルタドール通りとF.アルコルタ通りの交差点といった名所、そして建築当初の面影を残す中庭の素晴らしい眺めを楽しむことができる。
ここでは視覚芸術の展覧会だけでなく、音楽会や舞台、映画、さらにはワークショップや講義なども行っている。視覚を十分に刺激したい、そんな気分の日には迷わずレコレータ文化センターや、周りを囲む色々な美術館を巡ってみよう。そしてここを訪れたなら、いくつもに織り重なる庭園を散策してみよう。それはこの街で見ることのできる、もっとも美しい緑の空間である。

The latter is located in an old building dating from the 17th century. The original building was made by Jesuit architects Juan Krauss and Juan Wolf and Italian Andrés Blanqui. Later on, the building underwent several refurbishments: the first one carried out by Juan Buschiazzo in the 19th century and the last – in 1980- in the hands of talented Clorindo Testa, Luis Benedit and Jacques Bedel.
In the CCR it is possible to see between 9 and 10 simultaneous exhibitions: on the right wing, there is the main exhibition hall – ‘Cronopios’- where there are usually exhibitions by Argentinean artists with brilliant careers. Next to this hall there are two other halls following in importance. The rest of the exhibition rooms are located on the left wing, which usually hosts the works of young artists with promising careers.
Indoors, the cultural centre is characterized by its abundant brightness, the result of the huge windows facing the long-lived central courtyard, which functions as the connecting point for all the halls in the complex. In addition to the courtyard, there is a huge terrace with a magnificent view of Plaza Francia, Del Libertador and F. Alcorta Avenues, and several interior courtyards that maintain the architectural essence of the original building.
Here, it is not only possible to visit visual arts exhibitions, but also to experience a variety of musical or theatrical events, watch films, or attend workshops and courses. If you want to have a visually stimulating day, do not miss this centre, the museums surrounding it and, while you are there, walk around the parks that separate one from another, possibly the most beautiful green spaces in the capital city.
