In 2007, some argentine artists and intellectuals assembled and created the International Foundation of the Arts and Contemporary Thoughts. Their motto is to promote the Argentine’s important cultural properties2007年、アルゼンチンのアーティストや知識人達の間で、アートと現代思想による交際交流をモットーに掲げた財団が設立された。アルゼンチンの豊富な文化的財産を、国内はもちろん海外でも促進的に紹介していくための活動の場である。
この財団の拠点として、2009年10月に開設されたのがギャラリースペース「パサヘ865」だ。サンテルモ地区、ウンベルト・プリモ通り865番地に位置し、赤い壁が一際目をひいている。その名の通り、文化の発信と交流のパサヘ（スペイン語で「通路」）として積極的にイベントを開催している。
2009年10月のギャラリーのオープニングではペドロ・ロスとファン・カヴァシェロの共同展示が華やかに開催された。その後も、アルゼンチンでも著名な作家たちを招待して個展を行ったり、外部文化イベントの企画・後援を行ったりしている。
過去の展覧会には、カルロス・アルナイス個展、フリアノ・ボロビオ「罰当たりなカリグラフィー」展、セリア・カトゥレリ「部屋・台所・風呂」展などがあり、毎回奇想天外なテーマで刺激的且つフレッシュなアートを展開している。共同展示では、複数のアルゼンチン著名作家に自由に詩を選択させ、そこから受けたインスピレーションによって作品を創作してもらうというプロジェクトを開催。視覚的、そして知的なインパクトを常に与えている。

As its base ground, they opened a gallery space “Pasaje 865” in October 2009. This gallery is colated at number 865 of Umberto Primo street in San Telmo district. The building painted red color stands out in the street landscape. As its name suggests, the Pasaje 865 takes a major role as passage for cultural transmission and exchange.
The opening of the gallery in October 2009 was celebrated with the collective exhibition of Juan Cavallero and Pedro Roth. Since then, inviting famous Argentine artists, they organizes cultural events in the gallery but also outside.
Past interesting exhibitions are, among others, Carlos Arnaiz solo show, Juliano Borobio’s “Profane Calligraphy” Exhibition, Celia Caturelli’s “Room, Kitchen and Bath” Exhibition. Always develops fresh and exciting theme. They also organized an group exhibition for which each artist chooses a poem and makes a work according to the inspiration he receives from it. The “Pasaje 865” always gives us visual as much as intellectual impacts.
