Cobra is a miniature cultural centre, a store of independent editions, fanzines and handmade books, a neighborhood library with a rental system and a small gallery in which its creators, Debora Terenコブラ・リブロスは小さなカルチャーセンター。インディペンデントの書籍や同人誌、ハンドメイドの本を取り扱うショップであり、親しみやすい図書館であり、そして小さなギャラリーでもある。ギャラリーではコブラのクリエイターであるデボラ・テレン、デヴィッド・レダ、クリスチャン・ナンクレアが自らの作品を展示する。
どうしてこのような店を作ろうと思ったのか尋ねてみると、彼らは当然のようにこう答える。自分たちの部屋にこれ以上本を置くスペースがなくなったから、と。物理的な必然からこの店が生まれたのだという。しかし実際にこの店を訪れてみれば、それだけが理由だったとはとても信じられない。彼らが企画する多彩なイベントはどれも、なんとも細やかに考え抜かれ、我々を魅了してくれるのである。
展示会、上映会、リーディング、コンサートの運営、自主出版などの他にも、コブラはブエノスアイレスの若者のためのミーティングスペースとしての顔も持つ。気軽に、そしてリアルにアートと出会える場所なのだ。
コブラがあるカバジート地区には、他に流行に敏感な店はあまり見当たらない。だからこの地区を巡るなら、まずコブラからはじめるのがおすすめ。旅行者たちの群れをちょっと離れて、ここでアルゼンチンのカルチャーについて少し学んでみよう。

When asked how they came up with the idea, they naturally reply that there was no more room for books in their homes; it was a spatial need. But the truth is it is hard to believe that was the only reason, given the wide variety of events they organize and the delicate line in every one of their events and proposals.
As well as organizing exhibitions, showings, reading-aloud sessions, concerts and editing free-lance publications, Cobra is a meeting place for friends and people in a present-day generation, who live in Buenos Aires and seek a daily, real and accessible encounter with art.
Cobra is located in Caballito neighborhood , since there are no other trendy places in this area, this could be the start point for visiting the surroundings and learn a little bit about the argentinean culture which is out of the tourist circuit.
