ベトナム人オーナーが開いた「シアン」はプレンツアウアー・ベルク界隈でおそらく最も手頃においしく、お腹も満足させてくれる店であるVietnameese newly opened Si An is probably the best value-to-the-dollar restaurant in Prenzlauer Berg and mostly completely full. The small restaurant close to Danziger strasse offers a small, simple and relatively inexpensive menu card.
The friendly service is quick to guide to a waiting bench where tea is served for a sensatory experience. It must be warned that in the winter the place can be crowded and the waiting time somewhat longer. The impression of the restaurant is carried by a firmfullly designed interior in earthly toned colours. Details are meticulously carried out from own ceramics to waiter uniforms and menu cards.
Inspired from the popular Berlin restaurant Vietnamese Monsieur Vuong the menu hold daily specials or various vietnameese dishes, salads, noodles and soups (starters 2.50-6 EUR, main 6-13 EUR, deserts 3-6 EUR). All dishes comes as vegetarian or meat though as a drawback over the range of the card the flavours varies little.
The spring rolls (3.50 EUR) and papaya salad (7.50 EUR) are a particular speciality as also the tasty Vietnamese inspired shakes all worth a try. Amazingly its possible walking from this restaurant having eaten 3 excellent courses and having paid less than 15 EUR.
Though the limited card prevents frequent visits that’s probably why it’s the place of choice for hipsters in the area.

親しみやすい接客で素早く外の待ち合い用のベンチに案内してくれ、お茶を用意してくれる。冬場のこの店は特に混み、待ち時間が少々長引くかもしれないので注意しよう。内装は自然な色合いを基調にしてきっちりとデザインされたという印象。食器やウェイターの制服、メニューカードといった細部にまでこころが行き届いている。
ベルリンの人気レストラン「ベトナム料理 ムッシュー・ヴォン」からインスパイアされたメニューは特別メニューから始まりあらゆる種類のベトナム料理、サラダ、麺類やスープが豊富に揃う（スターター2.50〜6ユーロ、メイン6〜13ユーロ、デザート3〜6ユーロ）。全てのメニューは一般向けとベジタリアン向けを選ぶことができる。このような豊富なメニューの中、味のバリエーションが少なめなのがただひとつの弱点かもしれない。
スプリング・ロール（3.50ユーロ）とパパイヤサラダ（7.50ユーロ）は定番のお勧めメニューだが、おいしいベトナム料理はどれも試してみる価値があるものばかり。驚くべきことにこのレストランでは3種類の素晴らしいコースを堪能して15ユーロ未満ということも可能なのだ。
限られたメニューのせいか足しげく通う常連は少ないものの、この手頃さがこの界隈のアート志向の若者たちに大人気の理由であろう。
