アムステルダム旧市街にある「ジ・アザーリスト」は、デザイナーのハンドメイド・グッズや雑貨を扱うお店。友達や家族（もちろん自分にも）へのプレゼントを探すには最適な場所だThey believe one of the best ways to find inspiration is the creation of one’s very own Cabinet of Curiosities, or Wunderkammer. Historically, these ‘Cabinets’ were made up of relics, works of art, objects of natural history。
カリフォルニア出身のスティーブンとジョシュアは、アムステルダムのラブリーな雰囲気に惹かれてこの街に移住を決め、2006年にこのお店をオープンした。
商品は、アーチストの手作りで１点ものがほとんど。アムステルダムではここだけでしか買えない、ヘザー・ルイスのハンドメイド・ドール（写真）をはじめ、フレデリック・モレル、Made by rEN、エリーゼ・ルフェーブル、カリン・エリクソン、キョーコ・ハシモトなどの限定商品を見つけることができる。

The Otherist is their version of the Cabinet of Curiosities. It’s our chance to scour the globe in search of items that wow and amaze, and hopefully inspire. They seek the exceptional; the memorable; the unconventional; the other, and gather a collection of merchandise that highlights the stunning talent of artists and designers from around the world. Their focus is on the uniquely handmade, the one-of-a-kind and difficult to find. Much like the old Wunderkammers, our collection is an ever-changing and oft-difficult to classify assortment bounded only by their own aesthetic. They gather it in the hopes of inspiring other to create their own Wunderkammers, with the added benefit being that ours is a wonderful source for you to scour as you furnish your own Cabinet of Curiosities.
A majority of their items come from individual artists or small businesses. They have the Netherlands exclusive for The Doll Farm handmade dolls. Also you can find items exclusive to us in Amsterdam by creators such as Élise Lefebvre, Karin Eriksson, Mette Scherning, Kyoko Hashimoto, Lola Goldstein, Lok Ming Fung, Frederique Morrel, Penkridge Ceramics, Lyndie Dourthe.
