恵文社は「本にまつわるあれこれのセレクトショップ」です。
「とにかく新しい本」を紹介するのではなく、Keibunsha is “a select shop of books and all that jazz”.
They do not introduce “any and all of new books”, 一冊一冊スタッフが納得いくものを紹介したい。ただ機能的に本を棚に並べるのではなく、思わぬ出合いにぶつかるような提案をしたい。表紙の美しい本はきれいに飾り、眺めて楽しんでいただきたい。
即席の情報や知識を得るためのツールとしてだけではなく、書籍はさまざまな側面を持っています。夏休みを費やして一冊を読み終えることもあれば、鞄に入れて持ち歩いたり、棚に並べて飾ってみたりもできます。
情報伝達の速度が増していくばかりの昨今、本の持つアナログ感、情報伝達のスローさなどを大事にしていきたい。そんな願いを感じ取っていただければ幸いです。
当店ではいわゆる書籍だけではなく、世界中のさまざまな雑貨やCD、DVDなども豊富に取り揃えております。本のセレクトと合う雰囲気のものを、ということだけではなく、それによって読書の楽しみが増したり、本のある生活が豊かになるようなアイテムを集めています。
併設のギャラリー「アンフェール」では、地元の学生や、無名なアーティストたちへのレンタルのほか、頻繁に行われる恵文社企画展覧会により、さまざまなカルチャーを当店の視点で紹介する場としても機能しています。

The gallery “ENFER” in the book shop is also functioned as a space to introduce various cultures, by rending to local students or unknown artists and also holding exhibitions Keibunsha organizes.
