Where the fuck has all the colour gone? This is the first ever Monster Children Black and White issue. Number 13 all dark and badass. Even the advertisers jumped in and「モンスター・チルドレン」は今回初めて全編モノクロの号を発表した。第13号は全体がダークトーンとなっており、とてもクールな印象を与えている。広告主さえもがこの企画に賛同し、モノクロでの掲載を行っている。アンドレ・モロドキンはこれまでで最高の表紙を作り上げ、誌面では７ページに渡って素晴らしいアートを掲載している。他の号では暗闇で光るカウズの表紙を採用し、ある10ページにおいては、巻き取ることができるという特徴的な形式をも利用もしている。また、20本のシャーピーマーカーと白紙のページを、レグ・モンバサやアンディ・ジェンキンス、マーク・ペンクサ、ステファン・マルクスといった、彼らが注目している何人かのイラストレーターやアーティストに送った。オミーリーはボクシングを描いた作品を発表し、モノクロ写真記事の中でも最も素晴らしいものとなっている。

Translation: Ayano Yamada agreed to go Black and White with us. Andrei Molodkin did one of the best covers yet and 7 sweet pages of art inside. They stepped it up again with a Kaws Glow in the Dark cover for the other issue and a 10 page feature to roll with it. They also sent out 20 Sharpie Markers and a blank page to some of our favourite illustrators and Artists. Including Reg Mombassa, Andy Jenkins, Mark Penxa and Stefan Marx. O’Meally shows us some Boxing portraits, they look at some of the best Black and White Reportage photography and if thats not enough to get you rolling around like a pig in shit, then the Free Sharpie Marker will.
