Glass is a very unique restaurant specialised in modern gourmet cuisine, located in west Berlin, very close to Kurfursterdamm. The first impression of the place can be cold, being succesfully related to the concept of its name「グラス」はクアフュルステンダムに程近い西ベルリンにある、モダンな料理をテーマとするレストラン。店の名前や、輝くネオン、黒いテーブルと椅子の内装からやや冷たい第一印象だが、この印象は、運ばれてくる料理のショーの始まりとともに温かな印象へと変わっていく。
コース料理は６皿、８皿、10皿とあり、空腹の度合いによって好きなコースを選ぶことができる上、どの料理もガル・ベン・モーシェという腕利きのシェフが料理の説明をしてくれる。イスラエル出身でベルリン在住の彼は、常に客の満足と喜びを最優先に考えているような人物だ。
グラスではどの料理を食べても信じられないような体験となるだろう。素晴らしい料理を１つ上げるなら、「雄牛のテール肉のエクスプロージョン」。ブリュッセル産の芽キャベツに栗、マルメロが添えられたスプーンに載せられた小さな料理は、ほんの一口含んだだけで口中に広がる味わいを堪能できる。シルバーのテーブルクロスを敷いたテーブルに様々な種類のスイーツがばらまかれた「キャンディボックス」というまるでピクニックのようメニューは、忘れがたいもの。

You can choose between the 6, 8 or 10 course menu depending on how ravenous you are. Every plate will have the introduction of the great chef Gal Ben Moshe, originally from Israel an actual berliner, who pays special attention on the guests comfortability and joy.
Even when all the flavours one can experience at Glass are unbelievable, there are few high points on the menu such as the ox tail explosion – a tiny bite that actually explotes in your taste buds- the grouper – served with Brussels sprouts, chesnuts and quince – , and the unforgettable ‘Candy Box’ , a reminiscence of the picnic spirit, based on a mix of sweets that the chef will strategically spread straight to the table -using a silver tablecloth underneath the ingredients, of course.
There is no doubt that if you are looking for new taste experiencies, surprise, and contemporary food, Glass is the place not to miss.
