Not far from the Helsinki Music Centre, and the city centre, is an amazing little restaurant which was the former studio of sculptor Gunnar Finne. This artist was born in Finland, studied in Helsinki and started exhibiting from 1916かつてアーティスト、グンナル・フィンネのスタジオだったこの小さな素敵なレストランは、ヘルシンキ音楽センターから程近い、街の中心部に位置する。フィンランド出身のグンナル・フィンネは、ヘルシンキで学び、1916年に初めて展示会を開催した後、この場所にあったアトリエで1920年代から亡くなる1952年まで制作をしていた。レストランには３つのダイニングエリアがあり、地元のアートが展示されている。
オープンプランになっている店内は、ゲストを暖かく迎えてくれる。壁にはアート作品が展示され、キャンドルが置かれたテーブルは上品に並んでいる。料理は地元の食材を使用し、モダンな味わいを表現する。日替わりの魚料理とチョコレートケーキが人気で、厳選されたワインは、おすすめをスタッフに尋ねるのがベスト。レストランでアートに浸りながらいただく料理は格別で、サービスも素晴らしい。
ヘルシンキ音楽センターとシティーセンターの近くに位置し見つけやすいレストランだが、事前に予約することをおすすめする。シェフ兼オーナーであるアンット・メラスニエミは、このレストランの他にも、クールナやプッテス・バー&ピザというレストランも運営している。

Text: Mike Sullivan, he started working at this studio in the 1920s until his death in 1952. The restaurant itself is comprised of three dining areas and is decorated with local art.
Upon entering the restaurant it feels very welcoming as it is very open plan, art is displayed very prominently on the walls and the tables are tastefully set out complete with candles. The food reflects local tastes, but with a contemporary feel, the fish of the day is very good as well as the chocolate cake. There is a good selection of wine and it is worthwhile to ask the waiter or waitress for their recommendation. The restaurant has provided a very good setting for soaking in the artistic atmosphere, and eating delicious food with great service.
It is best to make a reservation in advance, the restaurant itself is easy to find as it is not far from the city centre and to the Helsinki Music Centre. The chef, and restaurateur, behind the scenes is Antto Melasniemi, who is also the owner of the popular Helsinki-based restaurants Kuurna, and Puttes Bar&Pizza.
