The city of San Carlos de Bariloche is one of the most important tourist resorts in Argentina. It is the most highly populated city in the Patagonian Andes and it is located in the border of the Nahuel Huapi National Parkアルゼンチンにおける最も重要な観光行楽地の一つに数えられるサン・カルロス・デ・バリローチェ。パタゴニア地方では最も人口の多い町であり、リオ・ネグロ州の南西、ナウエル・ウアピ国立公園付近に位置する。さらに付近にはアンデス山脈が連り、バリローチェ内にも多くの山がそびえている。
湖や森、山などの自然、さらに町の建築様式やスキー場はこの町の主な観光地であると同時に重要な財源ともなっている。 この地方特有の動植物や風景はバリローチェへの旅を思い出深いものにしてくれるだろう。
ナウエル・ウアピ湖はその広大さと深さとで、この町を訪れた際には是非一度見ておきたい場所の一つとなっている。さらにこの湖が山麓地帯にあり、訪れた者に壮大な景色を提供してくれるという点も大きな魅力だろう。
カテドラル山やオットー山、トロナドール山は、この地域の登山の名所となっている。カテドラル山は南アメリカで最も設備の整ったスキー場としても有名である。600ヘクタールの面積に難易度別に分けられたスロープが53あり、標高2,000mにも達する。
オットー山はナウエル・ウアピ湖岸に位置し、標高1,405m。山頂までは徒歩で登ることも出来るが、メリパルの麓からはローブウェイも出ている。山頂からの眺めは正に絶景の一言に尽き、眼下に広がる湖や山々、半島を見渡すことができる。さらにオットー山にも２つのスキースロープがあり、ケーブルカーの終着駅にはレストランもある。
またこの辺りに特徴的な緑豊かな森林は、対照的に町に並んだ地元の名産品を販売している店と並んで美しい景色を造りだしている。
バリローチェの名産品といえばチョコレートやフルーツジャムなどで、中でも「マムーシュカ・チョコレート」はアルゼンチン国内でも有名である。是非、本店へ立ち寄ってお土産に美味しいチョコレートを手に入れてはいかがだろうか。
バリローチェはブエノスアイレスからはだいぶ距離があるが、訪れる価値は十分にある町だろう。この町でしかみることの出来ない雄大な自然を一度、体感してみてほしい。

Its natural resources include lakes, forests, and mountains; its architectural style and its ski resorts are its main attractions as well as the economic means of support of the city.
The wide range of flora, fauna and landscapes render the experience of visiting Bariloche unique: Nahuel Huapi Lake is one of the must-visit landscapes due to its extension and depth, in addition to the fact that it lies at the foot of the mountains, offering a heavenly view for the traveller. As regards mountain climbing, Cerro Catedral, Cerro Otto and Tronador are the most important mountains in the area. The former is the most complete ski centre in South America. It has 600 hectares of skiable surface, divided into 53 ski slopes of diverse difficulty levels, which reach 2,000 metres above sea level.
Cerro Otto, on the shore of Nahuel Huapi Lake, is 1,405 metres above sea level. It is not only possible to reach its summit by climbing — there is also a system of cable cars which set off from its base at Melipal neighbourhood. Once at the summit, the view is amazing: 360 º views to contemplate different lakes, mountains and peninsulas.
There are also two ski slopes at Cerro Otto and a revolving restaurant at the top cable railway station.
The thick forests characteristic in the area are a unique shade of green; moreover, the city is very picturesque with several shops where you can buy regional products, such as chocolate and fruit jam. One of the best inventions Bariloche has provided Argentina with is Mamuschka chocolate. Its head office is worth visiting as you will find delicious souvenirs there.
Although Bariloche is not that close to Buenos Aires, it makes sense to spend the time the trip there involves, in order not to miss what this wonder of nature offers.
