Merucure Hotel Sapporo was opened in June 2009 in the best area of Susukino where has a great access to the various area of the business and tourist spots2009年6月にオープンしたメルキュールホテル札幌。北海道の食文化を楽しめる歓楽街すすきのや、狸小路、時計台やテレビ塔、ショッピング街、オフィス街が立ち並ぶ大通からも近く、ビジネス・観光ともに最高の立地条件に位置している。
メルキュールホテルは、ヨーロッパを中心に世界90カ国に4000施設も展開しているアコーズホテルズの直営のホテル。パリにある本店は1800年創業の歴史ある老舗ホテルだ。日本では東京銀座、成田、札幌の３施設を展開している。（2009年10月現在）
デザインの統一感はあるものの、その都市ごとでまた違ったメルキュールに出会うことができる。メルキュールホテル札幌のインテリアはフランス人の女性デザイナーによってデザインされており、日本とフランスの融合がコンセプトになっている。
室内は、洗練された落ち着いたデザインにメルキュールを象徴する赤が差し色でアクセントになっている。北海道ではおなじみの北一硝子のグラスやティーカップが用意されているなど、備品のひとつひとつにもメルキュールの美意識が感じられる。
館内の赤いチェアーが印象的なカジュアルフレンチレストラン「ボルドー」（写真）では、ランチ・ビュッフェも楽しめる。ビュッフェではフランス産の生ハムや道産のチーズをはじめ様々な料理とデザートが並び、スタッフがお薦めの一品を紹介してくれる。
レストランに併設されたバー「ルセバージュ」では、本場フランスのワインを中心とした充実した飲物類に加え、軽食メニューもあり、本場フランスの味や雰囲気を手軽に味わえる。バーテンダーとの会話もここでの楽しみのひとつだ。
フランス人スタッフに加え全てのスタッフが英語が堪能なので、札幌という北海道の窓口として海外からのお客様への対応も万全だ。デザイン性が高く高級志向に見えるが、コストパフォーマンスとしては決して高くない。気軽に利用して欲しい。

The Merucure Hotel is one of Accorhotels network hotels which has spread with 4000 hotels in 90 countries worldwide mainly in Europe. The original hotel located in Paris is a historical hotel established in 1800. In Japan Mercure hotels are located in Ginza Tokyo, Narita, and Sapporo.
You can find different types of Mercure Hotels in different cities. The interior of Mercure Hotel Sapporo was designed by a French female designer with a concept of the combination of Japan and France.
You will see the refined design of the hotel with the Mercure color red and feel the Mercure’s aesthetic to every parts of the hotel as they use Kitaichi Glass (well-known in Hokkaido) glasses and tea cups.
At a casual French restaurant Bordeaux (photo), you can enjoy lunch buffet where serves various food and desserts including raw ham made in France and cheese made in Hokkaido.
Located next to the restaurant, a bar Le Cepage offers you various wines selected mainly from France and light food menu.
