ブエノスアイレスから北へ約30kmほどのところに位置するティグレは、パラナ川のデルタ地帯に囲まれた、水の街。週末には、スポーツなどのレジャーやリラクゼーションを求めてIn El Tigre, an area located 32 km north from the City of Buenos Aires, several nautical clubs surrounding the delta of the Paraná River are crowded together. During the weekend多くの家族連れで賑わう。
ティグレ川の岸辺にある、ティグレ美術館は、1910年に建築家パブロ・ペーターによって建てられた。ルネッサンス様式のこの建物は、以前は、カジノとして利用されてたもの。改装は、1990年の初めにはじまり、最近になってようやく完成した。
ティグレ美術館の特徴は、古典美術と現代美術のコンビネーションにある。カルロス・ペジェグリニ、ジュアン・レオン・パリエール、ファン・マウリシオ・ルジェンダス、リノ・エニア・スピリンベルゴ、アントニオ・ベルニ、ラウル・ソルディ、ファン・カルロス・カスタニーノなどのアルゼンチンの現代美術作品から、施設内にある「ティグレ・ミュージアム」では、カルメロ・アルデン・キン、ルイス・F・ベネディット、ノラ・イエニスタ、アンドレ・ソブリノなどの作品を見ることができる。
新鮮な空気を吸い一息つきたいならおすすめの場所だ。

Text: Celeste Najt, a great number of families seeking sport and relaxation go there. Most of these clubs are on the banks of the Tigre River, which flows into the Luján River, opposite which the Museo de Arte Tigre (Tigre Art Museum) is located. Built in 1910 by architect Pablo Pater, this French-Renaissance-style building used to be the premises of the Tigre Club Casino for many years. The refurbishment work that began in 1990 has recently been finished.
The most interesting feature of this museum is its combination between classic and contemporary art. Painters like Carlos Pellegrini, Juan León Palliére, Juan Mauricio Rugendas, Lino Enea Spilimbergo, Antonio Berni, Raúl Soldi and Juan Carlos Castagnino are mixed with temporary exhibitions of first-rate contemporary artists. Temporary exhibitions are usually collective, comprising works of several artists brought together by a certain topic. Some of the most important names whose work has been exhibited at the MAT (Museo de Arte Tigre) are: Carmelo Arden Quin, Luis F. Benedit, Nora Iniesta, Andrés Sobrino and Carlos Páez Vilaró, among many others.
