Opened in 2003 as the second direct store of Nepenthes in Sapporo, Nepenthes Sapporo renamed as South2 West8 in April 20092003年にオープンした「ネペンテス」の直営二店舗目である札幌店が、2009年4月に名称を変えてリニューアルオープンしたショップ「South2 West8（サウスツー ウエストエイト）」。ブランド名は、住所が南２条西８丁目にあることに由来している。
70年代のアメリカンファッションをベースとしスポーツやアウトドア・ファッションから、ヨーロピアンテイストのアイテムまでを取り扱っているが、サウスツー ウエストエイトは、ただクラシックなアイテムを販売するだけではない。北海道の寒冷な土地に根付くハンティングやフィッシングなどの、機能美を兼ね備えたアーバンウエアなど、札幌店でしかできないオリジナルブランドを札幌発で全国展開している。商品は、ウェブサイトで閲覧、購入できる。また北欧や欧州からのセレクトアイテムや限定アイテムも見逃せない。
