Porter Classic is established by Yoshida father and son in 2007. Katsuyuki Yoshida, a father is well know designer for Yoshida & Co「ポータークラシック（Porter Classic）」は、吉田カバンにて名作タンカー（TANKER）シリーズをはじめ、数々の鞄を生み出してきたデザイナー、吉田克幸と、作家／写真家として幅広く活躍する息子、吉田玲雄によって2007年に設立。メイド・イン・ジャパンにこだわり抜き、流行にとらわれず永く愛される、世界基準でスタンダードなモノ作りを目指し、鞄だけではなく、ウェアや雑貨など幅広く展開している。
2008年12月にオープンした、第１号となる旗艦店「ポータークラシック銀座」は、帝国ホテルからほど近い銀座みゆき通り沿いの高架下、インターナショナルアーケード内に位置している。東京オリンピックを前にデットスポットを外貨獲得の為の商店街にしようと昭和37年に造られたその場所は、昔ながらの宝石店や工芸品店が健在し、昭和の良き面影を残す数少ない場所。また、吉田克幸の父であり吉田カバンの創業者、吉田吉蔵が戦後リスタートしたのも神田の高架下だったという。
屋根裏部屋となる２階には吉田克幸、玲雄が旅先など古今東西で収集し想いの詰まった品々が展示される。展示内容も期間限定で変わるのでどの機会も見逃せない。
今後はアーケード内にさらに店舗を展開、アンティークの一点物など展示・販売予定だ。

Parter Classic Ginza is opened on December 2008 as a flagship store. It is located in the place under elevated railway called “International Arcade” along Miyuki St. near Imperial Hotel.
The second floor of the store is exhibition space introducing collections that Yoshida father and son found from their trip. Many of them are rare items you can only see them in there. The exhibition switches every once in a while so you can come across to different collections.
