Originally established in Daimyo in 1989 before relocating to its present Sasaoka site after Imaizumi, the modern art gallery MoMA Contemporary is based in Fukuoka as a place to introduce contemporary art to the world1989年に大名で開設され、今泉を経て、笹岡に移転した現代美術ギャラリー、モマ・コンテンポラリー。福岡を拠点に世界へと発信を行っている。
取り扱いアーティストは、草間彌生をはじめ、台湾作家、地元作家など。完成度にこだわった展示と、企画・発表しているのが特徴だ。また、新たな表現の可能性や才能のサポートを積極的に行っている。

Featured artists include not only the likes of Yayoi Kusama but also Taiwanese and local creators, while exhibitions that are fastidious in their planning, presentation and completeness are characteristic of the gallery.
