オランダの建築事務所「コンクリート」によりデザインされたホテルは、ヨーロッパで最も重要な空港の一つのそばに位置しており、230の客室を備えている。また、ロビーの家具はヴィトラ社によるもの。１泊69ユーロで宿泊可能。14平米ある部屋にはスーパーキングサイズのベットがあり、良質なリネン類が整っている。この理想的な環境で、オンデマンドムービーを無償で見たり、無線インターネットをあなたノートパソコンに繋いで仕事したり、特別に作られた音楽チャンネルを楽しんだりすることができる。コムデギャルソン、ヴィクター＆ロルフ、ヘルムートラングの香水で知られるプロデュースによるアメニティをふんだんに提供。深夜お腹を空かした人には24時間の寿司、サンドイッチなどのメニューも提供されている。2009年4月にはアムステルダムの中心部から15分くらいの、WTCやベートーベン通りのあるビジネス／ショッピング地区に、第二のホテルがオープンする予定。

Designed by award winning Dutch architectural firm Concrete, citizenM’s first property jumps into the hotel arena with an ultra stylish splash. Situated at one of Europe’s most important airport hubs, the team has designed a 230-room hotel using the “Industrial Flexible Demountable” (IFD) design concept. IFD means that all rooms are fully created and assembled offsite – from the flooring to the lampshades. Only the ground floor (with a lobby full of Vitra design classics) is built in the traditional way, with the rooms then stacked above.
By manufacturing the rooms at their own factory, citizenM is able to accelerate the building process, outfit the rooms with high-end materials and furnishings and keep the prices low for visitors: 69 Euros per night, per room. A room of only 14 square metres that can be controlled with an electronic mood pad (lighting, temperature and music) and that offers a super king size beds with quality bed linen and pillows; the ideal setting to watch free movies on demand, or work on your laptop using the free wireless internet, or listen to specially developed music channels. In the bathroom, with power rain shower, guests are offered luxury bespoke amenities created by a famous nose (known by the perfumes for Comme des Garçons, Viktor & Rolf and Helmut Lang). And for the hungry party people who return back to their room in the late night, the canteen offers a 24-hour menu including sushi and sandwiches.
In April 2009 citizenM will open its second hotel in the chic Amsterdam South business and shopping district (WTC / Beethovenstraat), about 15 minutes from the city heart.
