CAI現代芸術研究所は、芸術文化が持つ付加価値を明確なビジョンに捉え、現代社会が求める創造的なライフスタイルを実践すべく、2000年６月、札幌の中央区円山に北海道発の芸術研究所として誕生しました。CAI Contemporary Art Institute was established in June 2000 in Maruyama, Sapporo, as the first Art Institute in Hokkaido, in order to have a clear vision of the added value of art culture and to put creative life style that contemporary society demands into practice.
国内外のアートを企画展示するギャラリー運営をメインに、文化事業、アートスクールの運営、国内外の質の高い作品の販売、パブリックアートの企画制作など現代美術の社会還元を展開しています。
また新たな生き方を提案するクリエイターの育成とサポートをすると共に、広く一般レベルにおける新しい文化価値創造を社会に促すことを目的としています。

It rolls out sharing contemporary art to society, mainly by managing gallery that exhibits international and domestic art, contributing toward cultural programs, operating art school, selling high-quality art works and producing public art.
It also aims to educate and support creators who suggest new ways of life, as well as to draw new creations of cultural value in public on society.
